A green tea with a slightly rolled leaf, smoky mild in taste. Grown in Anhui province, Chun Mee means 'precious eyebrows', so named after the way the leaves are hand rolled before the tea is pan fried. A well known tea with a slight dry, aromatic taste.

Anhui province in eastern China, taking its name from a combination of two cities in Anhui: Anqing and Huizhou. Anhui is a poor province, even by Chinese standards, with an annual per capita GDP of £700. Anhui’s mountains lie to the south of the province, including the Dabie Mountains and the incredibly atmospheric Huangshan Mountains (which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site) – southern Anhui also sees the Yangtze flowing through it. The north of the province is flat and thus less suitable for growing tea. [GSO109]
