China Sencha Organic Tea

An organic green tea with a light, bright cup colour and slightly dry taste, this is a fresh, fragrant tea, produced by the Chinese, with the help of imported Japanese expertise and equipment. A dainty, light brew with excellent health benefits and a pleasure to taste. Sencha is produced not through fermentation but is rather immediatly steamed to prevent fermentation, and this seals in the flavour. The leaves are then fluffed with hot air, pressed, and dried until only 3% of their original water remains. After extensive rolling they achieve the shape fine needles. [GS2010]
