Japan Sencha Tea

A green tea with a large robust leaf, bright liquor, pleasant, slightly brisk taste, typical for the autumn harvest. Sencha is produced not through fermentation but is rather immediatly steamed to prevent fermentation, and this seals in the flavour. The leaves are then fluffed with hot air, pressed, and dried until only 3% of their original water remains. After extensive rolling they achieve the shape of fine needles. [GFL90374]
