Tamaryokucha Green Tea

Tight spirals, tenderly and artfully twisted leaf. Tamaryokucha is consumed in great quantities in the Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan’s four largest islands. The word means ‘curly green tea’, in reference to the curly nature of the leaves. The extra processing involved in making a tamaryokucha seals the flavour and aroma of the leaves.
